Here are my Top Ten Sites for Fantasy Baseball Advice
1. Razzball.com - If you play fantasy baseball and DON'T know who Grey Albright is...than you are doing it all wrong. Razzball is my favorite because it is one of the most consistent sites...with posts everyday, useful information and completely ridiculous commentary (which means I laugh out loud all the time). Razzball.com was the biggest factor for me bringing home the trophy last year and I plan on doing the same this year.
2. ESPN Fantasy Baseball - You really can't compete with the best in the business for solid advice and the industry standard in sports. Most of my friends know I have a "healthy" obsession with Matthew Berry and the Fantasy Focus Baseball Podcast. Every year they consistently put out the best product to play fantasy games.
3. Fangraphs - This might be too nerdy of a site to put at numero tres (Number 3 for you gringos)...but this is also one of the best informational sites out there about advanced stats (you know like Moneyball). Trust me if you don't read this site your opponents will...and they will win. Fangraphs also has a great fantasy baseball game called Ottoneu (you get extra points for clicking that link).
4. Yahoo! Fantasy Baseball - Still one of my favorite sites...although I always get confused with their navigation of the website. The Big Board is always nice to check out but ultimately I put less weight on their rankings than Razzball or ESPN. The reason they are so high (#4) is because I still play in an NL only keeper league and Yahoo! has a great game interface.
5. CBS Sports Fantasy Baseball - Let me just say that I do not like to play fantasy games with CBS. I find it restricting, frustrating and overall not a pleasurable experience. With that said...I do like the information they give you. Their player udpates are great. Just please don't play in their leagues...you will regret it.
6. Fantasy Baseball Cafe - The Cafe has a special place in my heart...this is where I recruited the members of my current keeper league. The forums are indispensable and you can get lost in the posts for hours...so be careful. Not a huge fan of their "rankings." There does not seem to be a consistent voice on the site and there are posts by a host of people. Nevertheless, it is a great site and you get as much out of it as you put in.
7. Fantasy Baseball Express - Mike Kuchera (aka The Fantasy Man) runs this site among other ones. He seems to have his hand in a little of everything fantasy sports related. I enjoy reading his posts and listening to his podcast before the season starts but to be honest...by the time the season starts...I usually tune out. I still like his content so please check him out...he is for real.
8. Fake Teams - I am relatively new to Fake Teams...but I thought they should be included in this list because their site is easy to navigate (and I am all about easy). Also...they are affiliated with SB Nation which is always solid. They also have really nice local newspaper links to check on your players hometown news.
9. Mr. Cheatsheet - I know this is way down on the list...but Mr. Cheatsheet is the sleeper candidate of fantasy baseball advice sites. If you take the time to download his tools and really understand his method...it rocks. I know it helped me out last year.
10. KFFL & Rotowire- Hey...two sites for number 10? Isn't that cheating? (Yeah...well this is my site so I can do what I want). Many people probably use these resources and like them. I don't. But since there are not too many high quality advice sites out there...it rounds out our top ten sites. You have to remember that ESPN, Yahoo! and CBS will pull info from KFFL and Rotowire to put in player updates...so you can glean some good info (sometimes before those big name sites do).
